About UsProviding the highest quality behavioral health, maternity and childcare services to families in West Virginia and the tri-state region.For more than a century, the cornerstone of Crittenton Services has been our residential program for girls between the ages of 12 and 18. Established in 1895 as a home for unwed mothers, we continue to provide the only licensed residential mother/infant and maternity care for teenagers in West Virginia. Today, however, maternity care is but one aspect of our program's gender-responsive treatment. We also offer comprehensive behavioral health treatment that recognizes and responds to the unique needs, challenges and strengths of children and families. Our 42-bed residential program remains at the core of the agency which services young women, most of whom are pregnant and/or parenting; but increasingly, we accept girls who are neither pregnant nor parenting, but need the behavioral health treatment that is central to the care of all clients. Individualized treatment plans are designed for each client by a multidisciplinary team that may include, but is not limited to, board certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, crisis prevention/ behavioral specialists, registered nurses, certified addiction counselors, art therapist, parent educators, activity coordinators and teachers. Crittenton Services is licensed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services as a residential maternity facility and a Level II Behavioral Health Center and child care agency. We are nationally accredited by the Council On Accreditation. Crittenton Services, Inc. is a member of the National Crittenton Foundation and the West Virginia Child Care Association.
