Crittenton Services, Inc. Staff Awarded for Excellence

(L) Dionne Cox and (R) Pam Moore
A Crittenton Services, Inc. employee and an Ohio County Schools employee working with Crittenton received recognition for their dedicated work with
children at the annual West Virginia Child Care Association Conference in Bridgeport, W.Va.
The West Virginia Child Care Association consists of 11 member agencies from across the state. The WVCCA champions what is best for the most vulnerable
and difficult children, their families, the professionals who care for them and the organizations that exist to impact their lives. The WVCCA believes
that children who have experienced abuse neglect, emotional and behavioral disabilities, substance abuse and/or delinquency should have every opportunity
to receive care close to home and in their communities where they can stay connected to their support systems.
The West Virginia Child Care Association's Child Care Worker of the Year is Pam Moore. Moore is a Direct Service Worker at Crittenton, working directly
with the young girls in the Residential Program, offering support and structure where it matters. She has been an employee at Crittenton for five years.
"She is rock solid, steady, dependable, committed, available and wonderful to work with, and we could never quantify her contribution to our day to day
functioning; things don't run smoother when she is here, they run smoother because she is here," said Kathy Szafran, President and CEO.
The WVCCA named Dionne Cox its Non-Agency Community Award winner. Cox is an employee of Ohio County Schools, working in Crittenton's on-grounds classroom.
Since she began teaching in the Crittenton classroom three years ago, she has helped many girls' educational successes, working alongside Crittenton's teacher,
Janette Bragg.
"She has worked enthusiastically to help challenged and at-risk children to help themselves. Her passion and dedication to these girls, to being the teacher
they'll never forget, to setting the standard for alternative education programs in Ohio County and maybe the state, makes her a natural and ideal choice for
the WVCCA's award for non-agency community award," said Szafran.
