Crittenton Services, Inc. Unveils New Volunteer Program
Crittenton Services, Inc. is looking for a few good men and women to lend a helping hand. Several volunteer positions have been created to better serve our
clients.
Crittenton Services, Inc. is a non-profit agency providing better futures and lives for families across the state of West Virginia. Crittenton offers the
only residential maternity home in West Virginia, and also provides in-home and in-school counseling through its Wellspring Family Services program.
Crittenton's Residential Treatment program serves young women from across the state of West Virginia between the ages of 12 and 18 who have suffered
sexual, mental, verbal, and physical abuse. Some of these young women are pregnant or parenting while others are not, yet they all receive the quality
behavioral health treatment they deserve through Crittenton Services gender-responsive programming. Volunteer positions available include tutor, child
care provider, kitchen assistant and administrative aide. Crittenton is always looking for those with special talents to teach our clients new things
like scrapbooking, sign language and knitting. Crittenton is also looking for those with carpentry and home improvement skills.
Wellspring Family Services has four locations - Wheeling, New Martinsville, Weirton and Morgantown. All offices are in need of administrative aides to
assist in daily tasks such as answering phones and filing.
Throughout the year Crittenton is fortunate to receive loyal support from private donors, local organizations, churches, colleges, and other civic
oriented groups who donate everything from baby clothes and children's necessities, to monetary contributions, but Crittenton is also hoping to find
those who are willing to donate the most precious of gifts- their time.
