Local Churches Restock Crittenton | Crittenton Services, Inc.
Local Churches Restock Crittenton
Crittenton Services' Junior Board and several Wheeling-area churches are coming together to restock Crittenton Services, inc. and celebrate motherhood. The
Crittenton Services Baby Shower will be held Saturday, May 28. The clients at Crittenton are the guests of honor. Each will receive a personalized gift and will
then assist in opening the larger Crittenton gifts.
The baby shower is spearheaded by Junior Board President Carrie McKenzie. McKenzie encouraged the churches to involve their members by asking for donations of
diapers, bottles, pacifiers, bibs, clothing and other baby items to help the agency keep its closets stocked for current and new clients. Crittenton's babies and
toddlers go through, on average, 500-700 diapers per week.
"The girls at Crittenton need our support every day. Many don't have families that rally around them in this time of their lives and that's why community support
is so important, and that's why this year is the first year we are holding the baby shower in the community and expanding our donation base," said McKenzie.
The Crittenton Baby Shower is Saturday, May 28 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Elm Grove Methodist Church. Donations are welcome by contacting Crittenton Services.
Churches participating are the Ohio Valley Christian Center, St. Mark Lutheran Church, Elm Grove Methodist Church, First Baptist Church, Grace Church, and new Life
Fellowship Church.
