Wellspring Unveils New ADHD Treatment Program

Wellspring Family Services, a division of Crittenton Services, Inc., has developed an evidence-based approach to treating children with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD. The new ADHD Clinical Pathway incorporates family behavior therapy and behavior management interventions along with parent education. It offers children and their parents the best practice methods to treat this common disorder.

"Many children suffer from this disorder today and too often, the children are medicated first before other options are tried. This clinical pathway approach involves every member of the family, introduces a practical approach and has proven results", said Beverly Petrelli, Vice President of Community Services.

Wellspring has also created a guide for parents of children with ADHD that therapists hope will aid the parents with everyday concerns and questions.

ADHD clients have been increasing at Wellspring over the past several years.
