Wellspring Family Services Offers "Say No to Drugs" Week
Wellspring Family Services, a division of Crittenton Services, Inc., is teaming up with the Laughlin Memorial Chapel to offer a two-day
"Say No to Drugs" informative and fun learning experience.
Wellspring Family Services continues to offer the highest level of care to adolescents and adults in 18 counties in West Virginia from
its Wheeling, New Martinsville, Weirton, Morgantown and Parkersburg offices.
"It's so important to educate kids from an early age about the dangers of drugs. We also want to let the parents in this community know
of our services and how we can help them in their homes and at their children's schools," said Elizabeth Reed, Site Director for the
Wellspring Wheeling office.
Wellspring Family Services is offering Wellspring Family Services days that will be held June 19 and 20. The theme is drug abuse prevention
and will have visits from the Ohio County Sheriff's Department's K-9 unit and Wellspring staff. A magician, sponsored by the Wheeling Kiwanis
Club, will thrill the children on Wednesday. The kids will be treated to a pizza party and cookies Wednesday afternoon. The food is provided
by DeFelice Brothers Pizza, Little Caesar's Pizza, and Panera Bread.
Wellspring is also encouraging children to create their own "Say No to Drugs" posters. For every child who makes a poster, they will be entered
into a drawing for Washington Wild Things tickets provided by WKKX AM 1600.
"We want to make sure that every child is educated on the dangers of drugs and bullying. Wellspring Family Services also wants to make sure
that every child and every family receives the behavioral health services they need," said Beverly Petrelli, Vice President of Wellspring
Family Services.
Wellspring Family Services is an outpatient counseling service. Wellspring therapists go into the homes, schools or private location to meet
the client's needs. Wellspring Family Services are available in 18 counties in Region 1 of West Virginia. Wellspring Family Services has
offices in Wheeling, Weirton, New Martinsville, Parkersburg and Morgantown.
